Brie Larson Reveals She Had to Stand in the Car to Accommodate Ab-Baring SAG Awards Look (Exclusive)

Brie Larson was willing to do anything for her SAG Awards look.

ET’s Kevin Frazier spoke to the 34-year-old actress at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday, and she revealed that she had to stand in the car to accommodate her stunning ab-baring outfit, which was custom-made for her by Versace.

“I had stand!” Larson exclaimed after Frazier asked her how she managed in the car.

It was worth it for Larson, who said, “It’s so beautiful. I’m just so thrilled. I’ve never worn anything like this before and I feel amazing.”

The pink Versace crop top and maxi skirt featured a crisscross bust and long sleeves with a ballgown-style skirt that was adorned with bows.

Larson kept her glam simple for the event, opting for light pink makeup and wearing her hair down with old Hollywood-style waves.

Last time she stepped out for an awards show, Larson made headlines for her amazing reaction to meeting Jennifer Lopez on the ET stage.

“It’s been just the best and that’s why I think moments like this matter,” she told ET Saturday of the viral moment. “It’s beyond this whole nomination, winning. All of that is lovely, and it’s of course huge part of it, but it’s so rare when this many [people] get to be together… We inspire each other and we watch each other’s things and to have that moment where you get to like feel all realities and worlds are colliding is magical.”

Larson attended Saturday’s event as a nominee. She earned a nod in the Outstanding Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series category for her work in Lessons in Chemistry.

“It’s a wonderful gift,” Larson said of landing roles such as Lessons in Chemistry‘s Elizabeth. “… It’s always about reframing things and fighting to play those different roles. It’s not always easy, but it’s a commitment to this craft that I think makes my life really interesting.”

The 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards is on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET and is streaming live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
