Well,
this sounds like it’s going to be one expensive shrimp cocktail.

A
new $50 million restaurant and event space is being proposed in
Las Vegas
.
The three-story building would have a steakhouse as its top-floor resident.

The
restaurant and the event space would be open to everyone, but the developer, Hukl Investments, is looking to build a space that caters
to local residents. The thinking was that it would not be connected to a casino
hotel.

Paul Huether, chief financial officer for the investment group,
said: “A number of people have commented that going to a casino for a steak
dinner is not their first choice, and they’d like to stay on the west side and
go to an off-casino property for a good meal.”

Clark County, in Nevada, has already approved plans.

It calls for a 72,000-square-foot facility.

Construction on the Las
Vegas
building could start later this year, and the goal is to open the
building by late 2025 or early 2026.

Huether said the plan is to have a high-end wine store and pastry
shop on the first floor, event space on the second floor, and a high-end
restaurant — likely a steakhouse — on the third floor.

“The views give you an outstanding view down to the Strip from
this second and third floor elevations,” Huether said. He estimated the final
cost of the project could be $50 million.
